Cooper High School to host special screenings of 'Hidden Figures'

Cooper High School will host two special showings of the Oscar-nominated film "Hidden Figures" at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 22. The film tells the story of three mathematically and technologically gifted African-American women who must cope with racism and sexism while performing vital tasks at NASA's segregated Virginia facilities during the early 1960s, when the U.S. was engaged in the Space Race with the Soviet Union.
