Academic Excellence for All

Goal One of our Unified District Vision aims to open pathways to academic excellence for all students. Robbinsdale’s Unified District Vision: High Intellectual Performance through Equity represents our collective goal for all students in our community. Academic Excellence for All is a continuation of the work that has already begun through our Unified District Vision.
Academic Excellence for All will be effective beginning Fall 2016 for the 2016-2017 school year. With the new academic expectations, it will no longer be necessary to apply for Pre-AP or honors courses, as all middle school students will receive the same rigorous curriculum.

This implementation will more accurately align our middle schools with our high schools. Students who qualify to accelerate at the middle school level will be provided with those opportunities just as we provide them to students who qualify to accelerate at our high schools. We will continue to provide enrichment and acceleration supports for students during their academic careers.

The specific details relating to the implementation of Academic Excellence for All are in the planning stages. Our goal is to engage all of our stakeholders prior to rolling out our full implementation plan.
