Amanda Lieser, an AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) coordinator and teacher at Robbinsdale Cooper High School, has won BestPrep’s Carpenter Teacher of the Year Award. She was recognized at BestPrep’s annual luncheon on May 23.

“I was surprised and felt very honored to learn I would be the recipient of the Carpenter Teacher of the Year award,” Lieser said. “Learning the award is named after a Robbinsdale School District teacher made it all that more special. I'm such a proud Robbinsdale representative, as I graduated from the Robbinsdale district.”

Each year, BestPrep selects one educator and presents them with its Carpenter Teacher of the Year Award. The award is given in memory of Joan Carpenter, an elementary school teacher in the Robbinsdale District for more than 25 years who worked closely with BestPrep to develop curriculum.

“I am so proud of the work we do together,” Lieser said. “I am honored and humbled to be recognized by BestPrep for doing a job that I love.”
