The Summer Institute taking place at Robbinsdale Middle School has been busy and buzzing.

The program, directed by Diane Dickmeyer, offers students a variety of options to choose from. Some had the opportunity to take part in classes such as “Freedom of Speech,” where they learn different sides of debating. They also could take part in class such as  “Intro to Stepping” taught by the Cooper Step Team coach, where they learned different commands and a routine.
There was a variety of programs offered for everyone from “Orchestra Camp” to “Automotive Engineering."

Freshman Meghan Potvin said she really enjoyed herself. Potvin participated in Culinary Boot Camp. Students enjoyed meeting new people and interacting with the staff as well as the U Lead staff.

Jael Kerandi is an intern with the Marketing and Communications Department at Robbinsdale Area Schools.
