Noble students participate in Hour of Code on December 6.Celebrating Academics
Congratulations to Cooper High School's IB Diploma Candidates; new inductees in the National Honor Society; our many students of the month. Noble Elementary held a school-wide Hour of Code on December 6, 2019. And thank you to our excellent educators who plan creative, innovate lessons for our children, such as a "book tasting" at Neill Elementary, and learning about scientists through self portraits at Northport Elementary.

Celebrating Co-Curriculars
District 281 offers many clubs, activities and athletics opportunities for students. Congratulations to the SEA Lego League on advancing to sectionals and winning a Judges Programming Award. Luis Hammer, senior at Armstrong, earned the National Speech and Debate Academic All-American Award. The Robins Adapted Soccer team won the state consolation title. The Cooper High School newspaper received a First Class rating from the National Scholastic Press Association for the nine issues published last school year.

Celebrating Arts
There have been many student performances in the arts these past few months, including numerous band and choir concerts. The Armstrong Marching Band will perform at the Outback Bowl and Disney World over winter break. FAIR School Crystal students performed Aladdin Jr. earlier in December. District 4th and 5th grade orchestra students performed in the annual Fall Strings Festival.

Celebrating our Community
The students, families and staff of District 281 continually give back to our community. Zachary Lane Elementary held a Toys for Tots drive and collected 260 toys! The Armstrong "A" School packed 265 boxes for Feed My Starving Children - enough to feed 156 children for an entire year! Our Adult Academic Program students collected 577 pairs of socks and donated them to a local homeless shelter.
