Robbinsdale Area Schools have narrowed the list of ways to use the ESSER III funding. Please note that examples given below do not include all possibilities for funding in that area.
𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (such as courses in American Indian history and culture; training for staff in these areas)
𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲-𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗻 (PreK) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 (such as PreK at every elementary school, all-day PreK, wraparound care)
𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 (such as expanding translations for websites, student portals, and parent communications)
𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 (such as improving schools’ physical space, adding outdoor classrooms, expanding facilities to meet demand for Nutrition Services)
𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (such as enrichment activities/community nights with families, transportation for families to participate)
𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 (such as adding services at a school like medical, dental and mental health care, childcare, career counseling, or academic enrichment outside of school)
𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 S𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 S𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 (such as mental health support provided to students at school and additional support for staff wellness and mental health)
Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS, which means using specific methods or interventions to inspire specific kinds of academic and behavioral growth)
𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲/𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 (such as college visits for all middle and high school students, transportation to enrichment programs, new technology-related programs)
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 (such as helping staff deepen knowledge to teach specific subjects, prepare culturally responsive lessons, support student mental health, etc.)
Staff 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (such as increased wages for Education Assistants, signing bonuses for hard-to-fill positions, and assisting staff of color to become teachers)
𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴 (such as additional teachers to decrease class sizes, building substitutes, enrichment teachers, credit recovery teachers)
𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 (such as counselors, school psychologists, social workers, therapists)
𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (such as additional staff to ensure equipment runs smoothly, increased internet bandwidth and wireless capacity, higher quality student devices and software)
