More than 60 years ago, what we now know as Robbinsdale Area Schools (Independent School District 281) came together through the consolidation of various smaller area school districts. Our district built on the cornerstone of the Parker School, the district’s first school building, laid over 130 years ago. We continue to guide students down the well-trod path blazed by our district’s first graduating high school class, who commenced in 1938. This district is the product of stalwart educational visionaries such as E.J. Cooper and others.
Today, we plan to honor their commitment by working to bring the district to new heights of performance, expression and affirmation of human decency. Robbinsdale Area Schools is devoted to living out the ideals outlined in our Unified District Vision, providing academic excellence for ALL students. Our district is committed to graduating students college, articulated skilled trades and college ready as they realize their unique potential.
Our students use their collective voices to uplift our communities - many classrooms participate in service projects, collect donations and participate in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Our dynamic staff is also recognized for their outstanding work at the local, state and national level.
