The Together in Hope Choir participated in the All Saints Day Mass at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome on November 1, 2018.

Based in Minneapolis, the choir is directed by co-conductors Mark Stover and Teri Larson. This professional-calibre 60-voice ensemble was selected through invited auditions.

The program in Rome featured "Holy Spirit Mass" and the world premiere of "So That the World May Believe: A Motet for Unity and Service," both by Norwegian composer Kim Andre Arneson. Ms. Serakos sang as a soprano soloist and trio in both pieces. Internationally renowned TrondheimSolistene orchestra, one of the most distinguished ensembles in Norway, performed with the choir.

The tour also included singing in the Sistine Chapel and meeting Pope Francis while singing for the papal audience at Piazza San Pietro Vaticano. Because of the choir's initiatives, Governor Dayton declared October 31, 2018 Together in Hope Day in Minnesota.

"It truly was an unforgettable experience of spreading hope and healing through the beauty of music," Ms. Serakos said. "It was pure joy working with such a spectacular community of artists and sharing the experience of artistic excellence and unified people."
