Middle School
Preparing students for the future
In middle school, students continue on their academic journey and strengthen skills in reading, writing, math, science, social studies and fine arts.
The transition into middle school can be a major event in the life of a young person. Creating a safe and positive learning environment for all students is a priority. Where Everyone Belongs (WEB) is a transition program that welcomes students to middle school with the goal to make new students feel comfortable throughout the first year of their middle school experience.
Families are encouraged to explore and learn more about the four middle schools at Robbinsdale Area Schools.

Registration FAQs
Q: Do I have to register my student for middle school?
If your student is currently enrolled in Robbinsdale Area Schools, they will automatically be registered to their neighborhood school based on address. Check to see what your neighborhood school is by using the School Finder tool above. If you prefer to send your student to a different school, you will need to complete and apply for an in-district transfer (click on the Enrollment Information button above).
Q: My student attends RSI, but we don't live in the Plymouth Middle School attendance area. What do we do?
All RSI students are automatically registered to Plymouth Middle School. In-district immersion students (that is, students who live in the district boundary) receive school bus transportation to Plymouth Middle School.
Q: We are interested in attending FAIR School Crystal. What do we do?
If your student doesn't currently attend FAIR School Pilgrim Lane, you will need to complete and apply for an in-district transfer. School bus transportation is provided to all families who live in the district. Apply for an in-district transfer here.
Q: We open enrolled to Robbinsdale Area Schools. Where will we go for middle school?
Non-resident students who open enrolled will follow their current school's feeder pattern. If you want your student to attend a different middle school, you will need to complete an apply for an in-district transfer. Current open enrolled families do not need to reapply.
Q: Do I need to apply for an in-district transfer for middle school if I previously applied and was approved for transfer in elementary school?
Yes. Except for RSI or FAIR School Pilgrim Lane, students will be automatically registered to their neighborhood middle school. If your student was previously approved for transfer in elementary school, you must reapply for transfer in middle school if you would like your student to attend a school other than their neighborhood middle school.
More information will also be shared during the Middle School Information and Registration Nights. If you have additional questions, please contact our Enrollment Center at 763-504-8080.
