From summer learning and theatre camps to middle school care and adult classes, Community Education offers opportunities for all ages. Explore what’s available and find programs that fit your schedule and interests. 

Cahoots Summer Learning Workbooks

Cahoots is a summer pen-pal program, supporting learning and reflection skills. Memorable workbook characters - Hoots, Boots, Marina, Stevie and Walter--guide you through a self-paced review of the school year. Reflection buddy pen pals provide encouragement and responses to your work. Participants receive:

  • A workbook to help review Math and Language Arts material from the school year.
  • Weekly reflections and a reflection buddy. 
  • A completion prize if you complete all lessons!

Register for the grade level you'll enter in the fall. Workbooks for Kindergarten are $37, all other grade levels are $47.

The Basement 26/27 School Year Registration Now Open!

The Basement is the middle school care program of Robbinsdale Area Schools. Open from 7 am until school starts and after school until 6 pm at Sandburg (SMS) and Plymouth (PMS) Middle Schools. We support students of all abilities and will provide reasonable accommodation to aid in the success within our program. 

Students have the opportunity to hang out with friends, finish up any assignments, and participate in fun hands-on activities.  All students in grades 6-8 are welcome!

Innovation Explorers

One-week camps • Full-day (Mon–Thu, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM) • Grades 3-9

Young minds will dive into the world of entrepreneurship and creative problem-solving! Campers will develop real-world skills, design their own business ideas, and unleash their inner innovators through fun, hands-on challenges.   

Summer Theatre Camp - Suessical Jr

Join Stages Theatre Company for a 4-week theatre camp at Cooper High School as students bring Seussical Jr. to life, ending with a performance for family and friends.

    Fun, beginner-friendly line dance set to the classic “Sweet Caroline”—no partner needed.
  • Swing Dance · May 14 · FAIR at Pilgrim Lane
    One-night swing dance class for couples, covering basic moves in a relaxed, social setting.
  • Belly Dance for All · Jun 10–Jul 22 · Robbinsdale Middle School
    Intro-to-intermediate belly dance focused on fitness, flexibility, and technique in a welcoming environment.
  • Wedding Dance Workshop · Jun 17 · Plymouth Middle School
    Couples workshop teaching simple, polished dance moves for weddings and special events.
  • Laundry & House Camp · May 18 · Wayzata High School
    Patric Richardson, author of Laundry Love and House Love, will share his most popular and practical tips and tricks in one fast-paced, fun evening!  
  • Learn to Letter · May 14 · Plymouth Middle School
    Learn the art of hand lettering in this class designed to build and refine your skills. Includes a Learn to Letter Workshop packet, your finished hand-lettered piece, and a custom name tag. 
  • Winona Cruise  · June 16 · Leaving from FAIR Pilgrim Lane
    Enjoy a day trip with a lakeside lunch and a narrated Mississippi River cruise, featuring scenic views, wildlife, and included transportation.
