2026-27 Hands-On Learning Grant applications are now open

Do you need funding for a dream project in your classroom or program? 

The Seven Dreams Education Foundation (SDEF) has committed $55,000 for their signature program “Hands-On Learning Grants” for Rdale classrooms and schools for the 2026-27 school year! 

Staff in Robbinsdale Area Schools (Rdale) can apply for a Hands-On Learning Grant from SDEF through the linked Google Form. Think outside the box and submit a grant request for up to $3,500 to fund an innovative and hands-on learning opportunity for your students. If you need technical, brainstorming, or writing support, sign up for virtual office hours with SDEF’s Executive Director, or reach out to an SDEF board member.

First-time applicants are especially encouraged to submit a grant request from now until the deadline, April 15, 2026. You may submit up to two applications, though SDEF is unlikely to fund more than one grant to the same applicant. If you have several creative ideas for grants, please share your ideas with your colleagues and encourage them to apply.

The Seven Dreams Education Foundation has awarded Hands-On Learning Grants to Rdale educators since 2003 to enhance classroom learning and inspire teacher creativity. The foundation’s “Bird Bash 2026,” themed after the transformational Roaring 20s, dedicated community-raised funds to these transformational grants.
