In honor of those who survived the residential school systems and those who did not, Robbinsdale Area Schools Indian Education has organized a remembrance walk from 5 to 6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 29 at 1740 East Medicine Lake Blvd. in Plymouth.
Orange Shirt Day, which takes place on Sept. 30, coincides with National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, which acknowledges the history of Indigenous child genocide and forced assimilation through residential schools in Canada and the United States.
