Each year the commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Education (Willie Jett, pictured above with Rdale American Indian students and staff) must hold a field hearing on Indian Education to gather input from American Indian educators, parents, and students on the state of American Indian Education in Minnesota. Results of the hearing must be made available to all 11 Tribal Nations for review and comment. (Minn. Stat. 124D.79.)
You are invited to participate in person 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, at the Upper Sioux Community at Prairie's Edge Casino Event Center, 5616 Prairie's Edge Lane in Granite Falls. A Zoom option is available for those who cannot attend in person.
