There’s one time in the year when you can make changes to your employee benefits without a “qualifying life event” – and it’s coming up starting next Tuesday, Nov. 5, through Friday, Nov. 15.
Your current benefit elections will automatically roll over into the new enrollment period. If you do not wish to make any changes to your benefits, you do not need to do anything.
However, if you want to add or continue contributions to a Healthcare Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), limited purpose contributions, or dependent care contributions, you do have to actively enroll.
These four benefits are yearly payroll deductions and amounts must be designated every year. Prior year elections for these four items will not roll over.
