Rdale middle school debate success at City Championship
Robbinsdale Area Schools (Rdale) middle school students successfully represented their schools at the Minnesota Urban Debate League (MNUDL) City Championship on March 26.
Each year, the City Championship brings together debate students from many schools across the Twin Cities to test their skills against the best of the best while celebrating students’ passion for debate and recognizing accomplishments during the debate season.
Team Performances:
- Rookie division first place: Shy Watkins and Mecko Mix from Robbinsdale Middle School (RMS)
- Novice division second place: Chloe Grant and Ally Trei from FAIR School Crystal

MNUDL is a program of Augsburg University that provides resources and programming to support competitive academic debate in Twin Cities high schools and middle schools. The mission of MNUDL is to empower students through competitive academic debate to become engaged learners, critical thinkers, and active global citizens who are effective advocates for themselves and their communities.
