Robbinsdale Area Schools Board of Education and Superintendent David Engstrom mutually part ways

Mr. David Engstrom and the Robbinsdale Board of Education came to a mutual decision that Mr. Engstrom resign from his position as Superintendent. His last day of work was September 18, 2023. 

The School Board will identify and select a search firm to assist in the process for hiring a permanent replacement. 

“We are thankful for the hard work and commitment of the Assistant Superintendent Marti Voight,” said Board Chair Helen Bassett. “Ms. Voight has agreed to assume the role of Acting Superintendent during the search period, as needed by the board.”  

The transition will allow the school board to focus on developing the best process, designed to yield the best candidate for the District. “The Board of Education is committed to working toward the best educational experiences for our students, staff and the community we serve,” said Bassett.
