Application Deadline Extended for Financial Advisory Council

The School Board of Robbinsdale Area Schools continues to seek applicants for the Financial Advisory Council (FAC). Three seats for three-year terms are open to community members.

The purpose of the FAC is to provide financial advice and support to the school board and administration. FAC members evaluate the district's economic condition and help develop future budgets. The FAC generally meets on a quarterly basis. More information can be found on the district website at rdale.org/community/committees-volunteer-opportunities.

Preferred qualifications for applicants include a strong background in finance, pensions, bonds, audits, financial forecasting, market analysis, or commercial real estate. Applicants must also declare no conflicts of interest.

The deadline has been extended to allow for a more complete pool of applicants. Applications will be accepted through Friday, Sept. 23. The Board will appoint selected candidates at the Board meeting on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022.
