Save the dates for fall high school music events
From an event related to Halloween, to the Fall Music Festival at Orchestra Hall, to winter season favorites, music abounds in Rdale in October, November and December.
For the spooky season:
Cooper Orchestra Halloween Concert, 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Cooper High School Cafeteria, 8230 47th Avenue North in New Hope. Admission is $3 per person or a maximum of $15 per family. Costumes are encouraged but not required. This event features treats, games, and activities for all ages. All proceeds support the Cooper High School Orchestra.
An annual extravaganza:
Fall Music Festival at Orchestra Hall, 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11. Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Orchestra Hall is at 1111 Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis. This annual concert is a highlight for Rdale musicians and their families alike. The concert will feature Armstrong and Cooper musicians, including Bel Canto, Cantori and Concert Choirs; Symphony Orchestras and Symphonic Wind Ensembles; and Robbinsdale’s Elementary All-District Choir. Winter Choir Concert, 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16.
Winter Orchestra Concert featuring musicians from Cooper, Robbinsdale and FAIR Crystal Middle Schools, 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19.

Winter Orchestra Concert with eighth grade orchestras from Plymouth and Sandburg Middle Schools, 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5
Winter Band Concert, 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9.
Jazz Bands and Chamber Strings Concert, 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
Winter Choir Concert, 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16.
