Superintendent search key dates

Dear community, staff and students, 

The school board is providing this update on our status related to the superintendent search. At the board meeting on Thursday, Nov. 3, the board approved a contract that appointed Marti Voight as the Interim Superintendent. 

To date, the board received bids from six agencies that are interested in assisting the board in the selection process for the next permanent superintendent. 

The school board agreed to review the proposals at a special meeting which was held on Tuesday, Nov. 14. The board selected the firms to interview and will hold those interviews during Monday, Nov. 20 at the board meeting or work session. A decision would likely be made following those interviews at the next business meeting. The public is welcome to attend the meetings to observe. 

Similar to past searches, that I am familiar with, and based upon interests that I have heard among current directors the process utilized by the selected firm will include opportunities for input from the staff, community and students.

We are encouraged by the interest shown in Robbinsdale Area Schools and we are excited to engage in this important work for our community.
