At its meeting on Monday, April 7, the School Board approved new bell times for Rdale schools for the 2025-26 school year, along with modest increases to walk zones for elementary and middle school students.
We understand that any change to school schedules can significantly impact family routines. We’ve heard your concerns, and we recognize the confusion and frustration these changes may cause. Our staff are here to support you through this transition and ensure Rdale continues to be a fantastic district for every student.
This decision was not made lightly. Adjustments to bell times—ranging from a few minutes at most schools to more significant changes at others, such as Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion School (RSI), FAIR School Crystal, and Robbinsdale Transition Center (RTC)—are part of a broader plan to improve transportation efficiency and ensure more reliable service across the district. The updated bell times for each school are listed in the table below.
In addition, walk zones for elementary and middle school students will be slightly expanded to better align with district-wide transportation needs:
- Elementary Schools: 0.5 mile to 0.8 mile
- Middle Schools: 0.7 mile to 1.0 mile
- High Schools: No change (1.0 mile)
