Robbinsdale Area Schools

Addressing Concerns or Complaints

Robbinsdale Area Schools takes all concerns and complaints by students, employees, parents or other persons seriously. We also believe it is important to resolve concerns or complaints in the most direct way possible. Concerns or complaints regarding a Robbinsdale Area Schools employee should be addressed with that individual first so they have the opportunity to resolve the issue. However, we recognize there may be situations where it is necessary to go directly to the employee’s supervisor. These situations may be related to harassment, violence, or bullying. (Board of Education Policy 103: Complaints - Students, Employees, Parents, Other Persons)

Step 1: Contact the Employee Directly

Start by connecting with the staff member who is closest to the situation (e.g., the teacher or coach). They are usually in the best position to listen, understand, and resolve the issue quickly.

Step 2: Contact the Supervisor or Principal

If your concern is not resolved after speaking with the employee, or if the situation is highly sensitive, please contact:

  • The school’s Principal
  • The department Supervisor or Director (for transportation, food service, etc.)

The building administrator or supervisor will determine if further investigation or formal follow-up is required.

Step 3: Contact District Administration

If the issue remains unresolved after working with the school or department leadership, contact the Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent.

Not Sure Who to Contact?

If you are unsure who the right person is to address your concern, we are here to help route you to the correct individual, school, or department:

Any inquiries sent to our general email or website will be promptly routed to the appropriate school or district administrator for follow-up.
